| According to Econsultancy who are a leading provider of data in the digital marketing field, investment in ecommerce within the UK could reach up to £700m in 2011. This is a 14% increase on last year and the trend shows no sign of slowing down.Web design companies are still being kept busy developing new web sites by sales hungry retailers. From this data it's obvious that more and more companies are realising that having a professional online presence is vital to the continued success of their business. More and more sales are being made through mobile devices such as smart phones and tablets, however it is interesting to see that despite smart phones vastly out numbering tablets, consumers are much less likely to order goods online using a phone. With the largest percentage of sales for so called mobile devices coming from shoppers using a tablet rather than a phone. |
