Our Design Process
Over the past 17 years we have had the pleasure of creating hundreds of different websites for companies in virtually every kind of business sector. This experience has helped us develop a comprehensive but simple design process which enables us to rapidly develop new websites for our clients without compromising on quality or cutting corners.

Before we being work on your website we will have spoken to you several times during the initial consultation stages so we will already have a good understanding about your business and what you are wanting to achieve.

The next step is for us to get all of your requirements into a written format which will form a plan that can be followed during the actual development of the website. To streamline this process and save you time, we have developed a simple design brief questionnaire which normally provides us with the vast majority of the information that we will require to enable us to start work.

The design questionnaire itself is a series of questions and answers which can normally be completed in around 15 to 20 minutes. Many of our clients find this part of the process quite useful because it can raise questions which they may not have previously though about.
1. Creating Your Design
Once we have received the completed design brief, a member of our team will contact you to discuss any points which need further clarification before assigning a designer to begin the work on your project. From this point on we make numerous checks so we can be sure that the design we are creating for your company is developing in accordance with your brief.

The first design draughts will be sent to you as images in .jpg format. These images can be viewed on any computer (PC or MAC) and they will provide you with a snap shot of exactly how your pages are going to look on your live website.

Naturally, this will be your first glimpse of the whole concept coming together and will ensure that we are meeting the objectives outlined in your brief. Throughout the design process you will be direct contact with our design team who provide advice and make any changes you need so that the finished design fully meets your expectations.
2. Coming To Life
Once you are happy with the finished mock ups, our web developers will start work converting the static images into live website pages. This conversion process normally takes a couple of days after which time you will be able to view your website in a web browser using a temporary website url which we will provide. For most of our clients, this is normally the most exciting part of the project as this is where they see the website come to life.
3. Working Towards Launch
The first products can now be added to the site. If you haven't arranged for us to add products to your website we will contact you to demonstrate the operation of the website and the website admin. If you have arranged for us to add products to your website as part of the build process, we will carry out this task before then contacting you to demonstrate the website operation.
4. Going Live
Mapping your domain name - Once your website is ready to go live, the final task will be to map your domain name to the website itself. If you already have your own domain name, we will contact you to work out what information we need which will allows us to make the required changes the domain name and get your site live.

If we have registered a domain name on your behalf, we will make the necessary changes to the domain name and set up any email accounts you may require. Once the changes have been applied, it usually takes around 24 hours for the domain name to propagate over the internet before the site is finally live and customers can begin placing orders.
Continued Help & Support
Once your website is up and running, we will continue to provide all of the help and support you need it as part of the hosting and support package. In addition to providing direct support, our comprehensive step by step help guides and video tutorials are available at the click of a button directly from the pages of your website admin.
